Making Rubber Stamps With Photopolymer Resin (Part III)

December 8, 2007 · Leave a Comment

We have done it.

Some first prints.

The stamps on the right, mounted on wood. Get a good ink pad for fine details. The usual ones in the office are not exactly archival or acid free. I found this VersaFine ink pad at Plaza Singapura, in this scrapbooking shop. As I found out, rubber stamps (those with images) are actually pretty expensive, for example, a size of about a 20 cent coin, with a little bird drawing, can be $10 up.

Exposure unit for photopolymer resin stamp. Two 10 watt UV light + two fixtures + wiring done by shop + scrap wood = $55.

That’s all for now about rubber stamps.
