Draft For The Next One

February 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Here’s the next one. I have a long title for this piece. I like long titles, I read that David Hockney used to name his work in really long sentences so they will take up more lines on the back pages of catalogues and be more noticeable.

Next week, I am going to post images of how I plan my colours and separations. I only use at most three screens for a print, but most of the time, on the final work, you see more than 8-9 colours. I don’t remember and count how many layers I go. I overlapped, masked, and do a lot of things to the screens as I move along. The drafts give me rough ideas about placement and helps me to plan colours in such a way they cover the print evenly.
